Baby sleeping bags need to comply with the minimum requirements of BS 8510:2009 standard – ‘Child use and care articles. Safety of children’s sleep bags. Safety requirements and test methods.’ This standard describes the tog testing method for baby sleeping bags whose purpose is to ensure that the product prevents babies from overheating during their sleep.
BS 8510 specifies requirements for the safety of sleeping bags for the use of children at least 4kg in weight designed to provide enough warmth so as to remove the need for conventional bedding when sleeping.
At Slumbersac, we send our baby and toddler sleeping bags away for tog testing to Intertek who approve the weight and safety of each bag, making sure they comply with the safety standards above.
Therefore at Slumbersac you can be sure our sleep bags are produced at the highest quality with the correct tog testing system in place to enjoy your little ones get the best sleep to give them the best start in life.
